Contract with a public body

The Québec government can conclude supply, service and construction contracts with businesses. To award such contracts, public bodies must comply with the Act respecting contracting by public bodies and its regulations.

To conclude an over-the-counter contract (below the thresholds for public invitations to tender) with a public body or to be asked to respond to an invitational tender, it is desirable for businesses to make their products or services known to public bodies. 

In the case of public calls for tenders, businesses must bid in response to invitations to tender published in the electronic tender solicitation system.
